This was a great tour! I initially considered walking the cemetery on my own, but chose to go with a tour. I’m so glad I did! Chris was a great guide-very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the history of Savannah and surrounding areas. The walk was easy and the 2 hours flew by! I definitely recommend this tour.
The tour guide was entertaining and kept the pace going. Very interesting stories about the gravesites. The statues in this cemetery are beautiful and worth the work through. The guide just gives it a little more spooky vibes.
This is a relaxed walking tour that included opportunity to see some beautiful art. Natalie was great - she explained much artistic symbolism of the past and painted a picture of the evolution of burial trends within the cemetery. Her knowledge about the lives of locally known figures buried there was extensive. She even took extra time after our tour ended to show me a grave I’d asked to see!
